ALUMNI UPDATE

The regular season has ended in Junior hockey, and some former Pittsburgh Hornet players will be headed elsewhere next season after successful seasons. Dane Hetland finished his career with the EJHL Bay State Breakers 18 th overall in the league, but leading his team with 21 goals and 27 assists for 48 points. Dane will enter Miami University next fall.

Defenseman and team captain, Chris Brown, had 10 assists and 12 points, while Alex Wright had eight assists and nine points for the Breakers before a season ending injury; Nick DeCroo had 13 goals and 15 assists for the Junior Bruins.

In the NAHL, Dennis Urban had 13 goals and 17 assists for 30 points with the Mahoning Valley Phantoms finished the season with an amazing playoff run of 5 goals and 3 assists in 5 games. Matt Quigley had eight goals and 13 assists for 21 points. Bryce Merriam had a 13-8-0 record, a 3.27 goals against average and a .906 save percentage for the Phantoms.

At Texarkana, defenseman Mike Levendusky had 14 assists and 15 points. CJ Severyn finished the regular season at the USA Hockey National Team Developmental Program U-18 team with 13 assists and 15 points.

In the USHL, Chris Clackson had a regular season with 23 goals and 26 assists for 49 points, to be second on the team in scoring, while at Green Bay, Sergio Somma had 20 goals and 26 assists for 46 points.

Team captain, Christian Minella, finished the regular season at Sioux City with 24 goals and 14 assists for 38 points. Nick Tabisz, a defenseman for Green Bay, posted 9 goals and 4 assists. Ron Cramer, a late season addition of the Indiana Ice, had 3 goals in 19 games.

In the OHL, Plymouth goalie Justin Garay appeared in 14 games, and finished with a 3.72 goals against average and a .892 save percentage. ...
