Hornets take 3 of 4 points in MWEHL action; now in 2nd place

The Hornets MM defeated the Compuware Ambassadors 3-2 in MWEHL action Sunday after a 2-2 Tie on Saturday.

In Saturday's game, after falling behind 2-0 in the first 5 minutes of the contest, the Hornets fought back to tie the contest behind goals by:

Despite out shooting Compuware 39-26, the Hornets could not pull out the victory.

In Sunday's game the Hornets again fell behind only to wrest the victory behind the goaltending of Rob Madore, who was one the "difference makers" in the victory. Scoring for the Hornets were:

By acquiring 3 out of a possible 4 points, the Hornets are now in second place in the 12 team MWEHL. Team Illinois remains in 1st place and maintains a 40-0-1 record for the season. TI defeated the Hornets 1-0 in a classic final of the Hornet Classic in November.
