They Did It! Hornet Comeback Kids Win Tournament 7-2 over Boston

Led by the outstanding goaltending play of Ben Burns, the Pittsburgh Hornets rolled to a 7-2 victory over Boston Bruins AAA Prep Team and clinched the Buffalo Saints Columbus Day Tournament Championship. Building upon their momentum from their amazing semi-final victory over Dallas earlier this morning, the Comeback Kids came flying out of the gate with goals by Blazek, Cramer, South, Gaul, DellaValle and 2 by Raymond pounding Boston into submission early on to seal this victory. Rapid movement of the puck through multiple passes and wave, after wave, after wave of relentless forechecking kept beating the Bruins down and stopped them from ever gaining offensive or defensive traction throughout the contest. The Bruins did score on a 5 on 4 power play and a 5 on 3 power play, but the victor of this contest was never really in doubt. College scouts from Michigan and New York were in attendance and came away with positive reviews of many of the Hornet players as the Comeback Kids hoisted the championship trophy during the victory lap around the rink. Congratulations Hornets for a job well done and setting such a high standard of play for the rest of your season.
